Free endometriosis pilot
Waiting for endometriosis surgery?
Ventefri helps you understand sequencing, documents, and reimbursement if you are considering private treatment or treatment in the EEA. No commitment, free, no pressure.
Free. We reply within 3 working days. No clinic commission.
What the pilot can help with
- Sequence: what should be in place before you take financial risk.
- Documents: which decisions, assessments, clinic offers and receipts are typically needed.
- Prior authorisation and reimbursement: we help you understand what is actually covered — also if you choose to stay in Norway.
What we require from clinics we consider
We do not pick a clinic for you, but we do due diligence before moving forward with a case. Among the things we require:
- Procedures performed by fully qualified specialists — not doctors in training.
- A dedicated endometriosis centre with a permanent team — not an ad hoc offering.
- Multidisciplinary follow-up (gynaecologist and relevant support staff).
The patient rights directive lets you receive treatment in another EEA country and seek reimbursement at home. The essentials before you start:
- Payment
- You pay the clinic directly and receive reimbursement from Helfo afterwards.
- Travel and lodging
- Travel and lodging are not covered by Helfo. You pay these yourself.
- Prior authorisation
- Requested before treatment. You then know what the state will cover before taking financial risk.
- Deadline
- Reimbursement claims must be submitted within 6 months of treatment. We help you keep track.
The pilot is most relevant if
- you have endometriosis or strong suspicion, and are waiting for assessment or treatment.
- you are considering private treatment in Norway, treatment in the EEA — or simply wondering what exists.
- you live in Norway and are a member of the National Insurance Scheme.
